Has David Bowie Gone Back to Being David Jones?

Earlier this week, a picture of David Bowie was big news.  Why?  Because for most of the last decade, the Man Who Fell to Earth seems to have become the Man Who Fell Off the Earth.  These days, a Bowie sighting is about as rare as a black swan.

Then I saw this from The Telegraph:

Bowie has even taken to using his original family name. When Iman told Twitter followers that she and her husband were watching their daughter in a school production of Willy Wonka, one fan responded: “Imagine David Bowie turning up to your school.” The model replied: “He turns [up] as David Jones, dad.”

Whoa.  What does that mean?  Anything?  Or nothing?

I think it means he's a real person going to his daughter's performance as himself, not as a character he created.

Face it, Bowie has been retired. He is again David Jones, British ex-pat, and life goes on.
