Flaming Lips to Headline NXNE

The next big music festival on my calendar is North by Northeast in Toronto, which runs from June 11-16 this year.  More than 650 bands will be in town for the festival and conference.

The best night of the week is always Saturday when a big chunk of downtown Toronto is closed for a massive free concert in Yonge-Dundas Square.  This year's big get is the Flaming Lips.

I can't wait to see what Wayne Coyne does with this opportunity.  It is guaranteed to be mega-weird.

Other confirmed acts include Bad Religion, Matthew Good, Of Montreal, Purity Ring, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Plant & Animals, Oberhofer, The Hundred in the Hands, The Sadies, Yamantaka//Sonic Titan and Raekwan & Ghostface Killah of Wu-Tang Clan.
