The Pixies' Black Francis Scores an Ancient Silent Film

The cool thing about films from the early part of the 20th century is that most of them have reverted to the public domain, which means anyone can have fun with them at no charge and with no fear or being sued.

Black Francis (or, if you prefer, Frank Black) of the Pixies has added a score to a very old German expressionist film dating back to the Weimer Republic called The Golem: How He Came Into the World.

I doubt when they made this film in 1920 anyone ever envisioned it sounding quite like this.
