Courtney Is Having More Legal Problems
Lemme see if I can untangle Ms. Love's latest issues.
Some time ago, she made some statements on Twitter about a former lawyer named Rhonda Holmes that was taken as libellous and slanderous. That lawyer sued. (I may have more to say on this situation later because, uh, I've sort of been drawn in to this issue.)
To combat this situation and a plethora of others, Courtney retained the services of a firm called Pryor Cashman. Earlier this year, they helped Courtney win a case against a New York landlord who wanted to evict her.
Now, however, Pryor Goodman is having trouble getting paid. They can't even get Courtney on the phone. They've resorted to submitting a declaration in Los Angeles Superior Court.
Parter James Janowitz is quotes in the Hollywood Reporter:
"Over the past several months, Ms. Love has rendered it impossible for Pryor Cashman to carry out its employment effectively. Ms. Love is completely unresponsive to Pryor Cashman's attempts to contact her. She has cancelled meetings with me with barely any notice on several occasions and has refused to return the calls of other attorneys on her legal team at the firm. She has also refused to respond to our letters. As a result, we have had no substantive communication with Ms. Love in several months and we cannot effectively represent her."
Courtney, Courtney, Courtney...
