The Commuters: Not Your Ordinary Band
Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 9:10AMThe Commuters are a four-piece band based out of New York who are offering an 11-song album entitled Rescue for free. But that's not what makes them, er, unusual.
Singer (and guitarist, pianist, keyboard programm, songwriter and co-producer) is something of an over-achiever. His resume includes:
- A stint as an Arista/Sony BMG Marketing executive who helped launch the careers of Avril Lavigne, Outkast, Cee Lo Green, Usher and a ton of others.
- Degrees in economics and law plus an MBA from Harvard.
- Acting as a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations
- Running his own label, Communal Records.
- Time as the COO of Limewire. Yes, that Limewire.
