An Unreleased Animated Movie Featuring Iggy, Lou Reed and Blondie

Reader Comments (3)

Why does it say this movie is unreleased? It had an extremely limited run but it did play in theaters and I have a DVD copy on my shelf right now. You can even get it on Blu-Ray http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Rule-Anniversary-Edition-Blu-ray/dp/B003V2IHBI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335555250&sr=8-1

This is a Canadian movie. Used to be shown on CBC late night alot. When it was released in the U.s. They actually changed the voice actor for the make hero and cut some of the footage. Totally ruined the whole film. But you can get both Canadian and American versions on the anniversary edition DVD.

Also curious why this was called "unreleased". When it aired in primetime on CBC when I was elementary school, it was heavily advertised and seen by many of my classmates.
