AMAZING Stop Motion Video Featuring 2,000 Fans

Check out this fine piece of social media-sourced work by EDM artist J.Views.  From PetaPixel:

After filming a traditional music video in upstate New York, the production team had 2000 of the individual frames printed out. The prints were then distributed during a recent tour in Israel to 300 fans, who held them up and posed for new photographs.

The resulting photographs were then re-animated into a video showing the original music video running in stop motion in the hands of the fans. No computer fakery was involved in the production, and the final video is quite mind-blowing.

This is great!

Wave of the future is combining great music with fun interesting videos. Can't wait to start shooting some myself.

Thanks for the post.

Stuff like this helps reestablish music video as a short-film genre where people can hack around with innovative ideas. Sure is a far cry from the overused band-on-stage-while-on-the-road trope.
