Live Nation's New Concert App for Facebook Is Actually Pretty Good

Yesterdsay, Live Nation--the massive promoter and concert company--unveiled Concert Calendar, a Facebook app that sucks in information from Ticketmaster (a Live Nation company) and 75 other ticketing agencies around the planet.

What you get on your Facebook page is a series of concert recommendatiosn based on whatever streaming music services you use (Spotify seems to be the favoured service) along with your Facebook likes.  It's even game-ified with chances to win "Concert Cash" and discounts just by checking things out.

I can see this being pretty useful for live music fans who get really pissed when they realize a local show by their favourite artist has come and gone.  Meanwhile, Ticketmaster and the other ticketers should see revenues go up.  That means more money for Live Nation.

Read another review of Concert Calendar here.
