In a Band? You Might Learn Something From This New Book

I've been an admirer of drummer Martin Atkins for years through his work with Public Image Litd, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails and Pigface.  He's also spent time in China working with the country's emerging alt scene.

Martin also has an academic side. He's taught various course on the music business at Columbia College in Chicago, the Madison Media Institute in Wisconsin and Tech Music Schools in London.

His latest project is a book called Band:Smart that he's trying to fund through Kickstarter.  Read more about the book here.  The trailer is f**kin' hilarious.  Watch it.

uhhh... if he is so successful, why would he need to kickstart?
