The 18,900 Watt, 150 dB Car Stereo

It's almost inevitable that your neighbourhood features at least one urban thump machine. I swear the kid with the hip hop Civic on the next block needs to torque his chassis bolts at least once a week.
And hey, I like loud music as much as the next guy--but at 3am on a Tuesday? C'mon!
Which brings me to the Juke Box. Nissan and Ministry of Sound have unveiled what they call "the world's ultimate mobile sound system."
Installed in (of course) a Nissan Juke, the custon-built 19 kilowatt (!!!) system pumps out 18,900 watts and can reach an sound pressure level (SPL) of--wait for it--150 dB.
To put that in perspective, the loudest concert ever measured was KISS at the Ottawa Bluesfest in August 2009 when they hit an SPL of 136 dB. To put it another way, 150 dB is like standing 30 feet away from a jet engine at full power.
And this is in a car.
Thankfully, this is just a one-of-a-kind project. The last thing I want is to see one of these vehicles on my block.
