Rush Fans! Can You Get Your Hands on One of These?
I've always said that no one loves (or promotes) music more than the English. The fact that such a tiny place can support so much great music media is stunning.
Take, for example, the amazing package created by Classic Rock magazine for the release of Rush's Clockwork Angels.
Inside is a 132-page magazine dedicated entirely to the band. There are in-depth articles (including a complete deconstruction of the Clockwork Angels concept), a zillion pictures and a big two-sided poster for the bedroom wall. Everything was assembled with the assistance of the band.
I didn't unfold the poster. It's too big.
In addition to the magazine, there's special edition of the album in a hardcover booklet.
Alas, this package is apparently not available outside the UK due to a very limited run. If you are a Rush fan, though, I know you'll do your best to get one. It's worth it.
And if you haven't heard the album yet, make an effort. It's quite remarkable.

I tried getting my hands on one, but it wasn't to be.
And I agree about the album. I am a HUGE Rush fan, so I'll admit I am quite biased, but, Clockwork Angels is a fabulous work of art. Please, if you are a 'I hate HIS voice' kind of music fan, get over it, just this once, and listen to the album.
There is NO chance you'll be disappointed.
If you know someone who lives in England, ask them to poke their head into HMV or WHSmith for you. Maybe they can score you one. I pre-ordered it myself, and I'm thankful I did.
Seen a few of these on E-bay for $70-$80!
Just bought it today from WH Smith in Middlesbrough - still a few left.
What a brilliant fan pack and album!
Just ordered one from Amazon UK. I live in Oakville, so just had to find a seller that could ship internationally. Luckily shipping was only 3£ so all in it came to $53 CAD. Not bad at all.
Just got my from Amazon UK too, but it didn't arrived yet, due the bureaucratic custom service in Brazil. It was a total of £15.05, I'd say it was a great deal.
THIS ALBUM IS EVIL!
LOL, nice try John Rutsey...
