Introducing Michael Cumella, the Steampunk DJ

Well, not exactly steampunk.  Unlike other DJs that use Serato, dual CD players or SL-1200s, Cumella's DJ sets feature him using actual period gramophones and 78 RPM records made between 1900 and 1929.  Try to imagine what that sounds like.  (Stop.  Go here to hear it for real.)

Cumella will appear at the Glenn Gould Variations in Toronto this September, an event in which I'm also involved.
