"My Life Was Ruined After I Appeared on that Album Cover"

His name is David Fox.  When his image appeared on the cover of Placebo's 1996 debut album, he was just 12 years old.  Now he's suing the band.

Fox is an unemployed 28 year-old chef who says that picture of him ruined his life.  The album was a massive hit in the UK, which meant his face was everywhere.

Fox claims to have been bullied at school and alienated from everyone in his class.  He dropped out, eventually found work as a chef but has since been laid off.

Why sue now?  Because he says that his picture was never used with his consent.  (Full details here.)

Compare his experience to other children who have appeared on the covers of famous albums:

Peter Rowan, now a professional photographer who continues to work with U2.

Spencer Eldon, owner of The Most Famous Penis in Alt-Rock

These six children are based on shots of just two: Stephan and Samantha GatesHere's a problem. Ann Kirsten Kennis says this 1983 Polaroid shot of her was used without permission. She sued and everything was settled out of court.

Any other child album cover stars come to mind?
