Cadillac's Cool New CUE System

In an effort to catch up with what Japanese and European manufacturers are offering for infotainment systems, GM's Cadillac division is pushing CUE, a new in-dash touch screen interface.  This ain't the kind of Cadillac that my dad used to lust after in the 70s.

Voice controls, haptic feedback--and every Cadillac buyer gets an iPad complete with an app called CUE Trainer so you can learn how to use the system on the counch instead of on the road.  Maybe you can even find where the radio controls are.

Expect this new gadgetry to filter down through other GM lines over the next few years.  It's the same thing Mercedes does:  start with their S Class and move on down.

More here.

What nonsense

When will the insurance companies start surcharging for this distracting crap?
