My All-Time Favourite Concert DVD Is Being Re-Released

When people ask me about the best concert I have ever seen, I always say the same thing:  Peter Gabriel's Secret World Live tour in 1992-93.  The memories still make me shiver twenty years later.

It stands to reason then that my favourite concert DVD is from that tour.  I've watched that performance from Modena, Italy, countless times.  It looks and sounds awesome on a home theatre system.

Gabriel is coming back to Canada this fall for yet another tour.  Ahead of that, Secret World Live is being released on DVD and Blu-Ray on July 24.  Before that, though, there will be a one-night-only theatrical release in Cineplex cinemas across the country on July 11.  That should be good.

Meanwhile, here's a trailer demonstrating the remastering process.

This is my favorite concert DVD as well. Wish I could have seen that tour live. Oh, to have a time machine.

The best live concert I have ever seen on DVD. I knew there must have been others who shared that viewpoint. Brilliant performances from everyone on stage and the level of theatricality is down right exciting. Everytime I watch it I am inspired. I'm excited that they are re-releasing it. Anyone know anything about the reply covers for the Scratch My Back album?
