Johnny Depp, Serial Rock Star
The first person to tell me of Johnny Depp's rock star ambitions was Noel Gallagher. He and the missus had rented a house on the exclusive Caribbean island of Mustique in the months leading up to the recording of Be Here Now in 1997.
Johnny dropped in for a while and over many bottles of rum, he and Noel jammed on a series of songs, one of which, "Fade In-Out," made the final cut. Depp can be heard playing guitar on the song. "This wasn't the first time, either," Noel told me. "That's him on 'Fade Away' [from 1995's The Help Album, a Warchild charity record]."
Over the years, Depp has recorded/jammed/played with an impressive array of rock stars including his hero, Keith Richards. And lest we forget P, a group that featured Gibby Haynes from the Butthole Surfers and occasional appearances by Flea, Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols and Al Jourgensen of Ministry.

Johnny also has an impressive array of guitars, including one that was custom made for him, Keith Richards and one other person I can't remember.
