Justin Bieber Sells Out MSG in 30 Seconds? Bullshit.
If we're to believe the hype, Justin Bieber sold out Madison Square Garden in 30 seconds. Not minutes, seconds.
Twenty thousand tickets gone in less time that it's taken me to type this.
We're also being asked to believe that the Biebster's entire North American tour sold out in an hour.
Doing the math, that works out to 1,000 tickets being sold EVERY SECOND since they went on sale.
It's time to call bullshit on this. NPR has published a blog entry on this crap, pointing out that none of this happened as advertised.
And if you're thinking that the deck remains stacked against the ordinary average concert-goer, you're right.

I can tell you that as a doting Dad I spent 45 minutes of my life on two laptops and 2 phones calling and clicking to get 3 tickets for my Daughter to see him at Scotiabank place. I snagged 2 out of sheer luck but was dutifully informed by the Rep at Live Nation that they literally sold out the venue in minutes.
Granted, the corporate fat cats, advanced ticket holders and Scalpers more than likely had something to do with that. But for only $200 I got two coveted tickets to a concert that I would never personally set foot in....FML.
Alice Cooper once responded to Gene Simmons claim of sleeping with 5000 women, "I don't think it's even possible!" It's a nice story from the Biebster spinsters, but I don't buy it. Maybe it's because I'm over 16.
uhh you don't think it's possible?
I've seen Tool sell out venues in 1 minute
I've seen Mars Volta sell out The Kool Haus in 30 seconds
The Black Keys sold out two shows at ACC equally as fast
I think you just have an axe to grind against the kid personally.
Leave my man alone. They ladies love him and they know how to buy merchandise. Ever see the ladies at a Coach Factory Outlet sale.
