Adam Clayton's Personal Assistant Convicted on 181 Counts (!!!) of Theft

When you hire a personal assistant, you're entrusting that person not to rip you off.  Obviously, U2's Adam Clayton needs to work on his hiring practices.

Carol Hawkins, his PA of 17 years, has been convicted dipping into Adam's personal cash stash 181 times to the tune of about $3.5 million.  

Where did the money go?

 

  • Airfare
  • Luxury vacations
  • Jewellry
  • A VW Golf for her son.
  • Fashion and film courses for her kids
  • The purchase of 22 horses
