People Still Listen to Radio--Just Not on the Radio

Radio consultants Alan Burns and Associates released their annual study on the medium today.  And although it shows that total radio consumption is up from last year (at least in the US where this study was conducted), more people are listening on devices other than radios.

Listening to radio on computers and cell phones continues to increase, especially amongst women.  Nearly a quarter of the 2,020 women surveyed say they listen to the radio via their computers and another 13% listened via their mobiles.

More details will be released later today.

True. Sitting in the back yard we'll often listen to the FOX 102 out of North Bay on our phones so that it feels like we're at the cottage.
