The Coachella Boat Cruise

The idea of music-themed cruises has really taken off over the last couple of years.  Weezer had their own. There are metal cruises, hip hop cruises and cruises dedicated entirely to EDM.  And now Goldenvoice, the company behind Coachella, has introduced the first-ever Coachella Cruise.

Setting sail twice through the Caribbean aboard the 1,000-foot Celebrity Silouette in December, the cruises will feature almost two dozen acts including Pulp, James Murphy (ex LCD Soundsystem), Sleigh Bells, Yeasayer, Hot Chil and Girl Talk.

Both trips will leave from Fort Lauderdale.  The first is a three-day jaunt out to the Bahamas on December 16 followed by a four-day trip to Jamaica on December 18.

Fans can pile four into a cabin for $500 each (exclusive of airfare, of course) or spend as much as $9,000 a person for a "sky suite."  The price includes the cruise, food and entertainment.  Your bar tab is up to you.

More details here.

I'm trying to think of a joke about that lineup and sinking, but the blandness of the lineup has sapped my ability to create humour. With the exception of Pulp, htis is pretty bad.
