The Moozar Tip Jar for Musicians

Remember how Radiohead really kicked off the pay-what-you-like model with 2007's In Rainbows album? Now comes Moozar, an app that allows fans to reward musicians they like with real money.  It's not unlike tossing some change into the open guitar case of that guy who's singing on the corner.

From Hypebot:

The process is rather simple. Moozar will post a “reward link” when the artist synchronizes their content from YouTube, Souncloud, Vimeo, Dailymotion or Mixcloud, and that link spreads whenever the content is “liked” or “shared.” This means that sharing on Moozar functions differently (and is potentially more valuable) than standard sharing on any other social platform. This is because the reward link follows the media so it appears each time the content is played and shared on the web. Not only does the link spread with the content whenever it is “liked” or “shared,” but it is also embeddable on any blog or website.

Read more here.  Then get the app here.
