The Alphabetical Archive for 26 August 2012: New Fast Automatic Daffodils

I've been digging through my music collection one letter at a time in an effort to rediscover (and in some cases discover for the first time) what's actually in there.

New Fast Automatic Daffodils (New FADS to their friends) came out of Manchester (What is it with Manchester acts and daffodils?) in the late 80s and kind of skirted the whole Madchester/Britpop era without really becoming part of either.

This was one of a couple of alt-rock hits from their heyday.

Surprised I didn't listen to these guys much back in the day, despite being somewhat aware of them. This sounds like it'd have been right up my alley. As it is, it doesn't really have any nostalgic value to me.
