FREE Electronic Music Workshops Just for Young Women

Brian from C0ndu1t (and the guy who helps me with issues in my home studio--he also does work for Deadmau5, too) let me know about In The Loop, a series of free workshops coming up in Hamilton, Ontario, next month.

Organized by Christina Sealy, In the Loop is designed with young women (ages 14-18) in mind.  Here's the plan:

Week 1 (October 6):  Digital Recording:  Getting Started,  An introduction to Ableton Live

Week 2 (October 13):  Analog and digital processing.  Learn how to manipulate your recorded audio.

Week 3 (October 20): The basis of synthesis.  Understanding the fundamentals of sound design.

Week 4 (October 30): Composition:  Putting it all together.  Create an original soundtrack.

Classes take place at CoBALT Connects, 2 King Street West in Hamilton.  Oh--and did I mention that all these 2.5 hour workshops are free?

If you're interested--or you know someone who is--register ASAP at www.intheloopmusic.ca
