What's This "Radio" Button Doing Front-and-Centre on iTunes 11?

There has always been a "radio" function with iTunes, but it's never been prominently featured.  But I noticed something in a screenshot of an iTunes 11 screen in the area below the "what's playing" window. Look:

That's interesting, no?  Could this be a harbinger of iTunes' rumoured Pandora-like streaming internet radio service? We'll find out when v11 is released next month.

I listen to Itunes Radio all the time such a good selection of genres and stations to choose from.
just hope they don't corrupt it and make it a pay service any time soon..
