Major Hits That Stalled at #2

What do Nena's "99 Luftballoons," "Crazy" from Gnarls Barkley and Bob Dylan's "Like a Rolling Stone" have in common?  They were all big hits that stalled at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Here are 21 more songs that suffered that fate.  Fascinating.  (And aren't they missing Pearl Jam's version of "Last Kiss?"  I think so...)

"Open Arms" by Journey, which is regarded as the best rock ballad of all time, I don't think reached Number One.
