A Strange But Cool Where-Are-They-Now Story
If you're into metal, you know Anthrax. And if you know Anthrax, you'll know Dan Sptiz, guitarist for the band from 1983 to 1995 and again from 2003 to about 2008. In other words, he was with the band through almost their entire discography.
Then he quit. To make watches.
Spitz suddenly lost all interest in the guitar in 1995. He gave his entire collection away to the Hard Rock Cafe and ripped all the stereo gear from his house and car. To be a watchmaker.
Here's the fascinating story of the extreme metalhead who know labours over high-end watches with names like Jaeger-LeCoultre and Patek Phillippe.
