Artist: Stuck On Planet Earth “Fast Forward”
Vaughan, Ontario band Stuck On Planet Earth has just released a video for their latest single “Fast Forward” and it’s absolutely killer. This song is full of raw, ferocious energy while the video features the boys out for a reckless night on the town.
Sounds like: “Fast forward, this love don’t work.”
As a student of the Kennedy assassination--see some of today's other posts like this one--I'm geeking out on the 50th anniversary stuff today. And I also need to make an admission: after years of being positive JFK's death was the result of a conspiracy, I've been swayed by those who say that Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone.
What did it? 9/11. If a bunch of whackos can bring down the World Trade Centre with boxcutters, an unstable, violent, sharpshooting Marine with a desire to be a big man could blow the head off the president of the United States.
(Please let's not debate any of this here. I've been through all the theories, all the ballistics, all the books, all the documentaries and all the websites. I'm with Vincent Bugliosi on this one.)
Here's some hand-picked music just in time for the weekend. Thanks to Mediazoic for the hosting, as usual.
Because I have a speaking thing this weekend in Toronto, my fourth trip to M for Montreal is abbreviated to just two days, which means I won't be able see the performances and showcases scheduled for Friday and Saturday. I do, however, have some recommendations from the time I was here.
Much buzz about this new-ish Montreal. This is a track they've been playing a lot this year.
Another Montreal band that's new to me. Nice electronic pop.
A Montreal two-piece who are buddies with Grimes.
