Alex points to a radio stream available on iTunes in the Ambient category called SomaFM, which features actual NASA transmissions paired with ambient music. It's oddly compelling and strangely relaxing. My dog seems to really like it, too.
Peter sent me the article from The Atlantic about a weird flex-disc record from the late 1960s. It was apparently included with an issue of National Geographic following the Apollo 11 moon landing.
