On August 1, Beady Eye (and ex-Oasis) guitarist Gem Archer fell down a set of stairs at his home. He banged his head so bad that he fractured his skull. Many gigs had to be cancelled.
At some point during his convalescence, Gem managed to break his leg in two places in some kind of bathroom incident. That required surgery to insert a couple of steel pins.
The good news is that he seems to have stop inflicting injuries upon himself and is getting ready to rejoin the band next month beginning with shows in Dublin on November 7.
"I am on the mend, not gone round the bend and treading carefully whilst taking each day as a giant leap forward. I still consider myself lucky, who knows why things happen, but they do and it all could have been much worse but it wasn't."
