Roger Ebert may have ended up as a Pulitzer Prize-winning film critic, but back in the 1970s, he was a wannabe screenwriter who worked on some softcore porn with boobmeister Russ Meyer. It was that work that attracted the attention of a scheming music manager in England named Malcolm McLaren.
McLaren wanted to make a movie about his charges, the Sex Pistols, and believed that Ebert was the man to do it. The movie--eventually entitled Who Killed Bambi--was never made for a variety of reasons, including some reticence on the part of 20th Century Fox.
Ebert, however, later posted the entire script online for anyone who wanted to read it. Enjoy.
